The North East Arkansas All-Region Choir was this weekend and, WOW, was it amazing! The clinicians were awesome and our NJHS students were incredibly behaved and had a great experience. It is not too often that students get to experience singing in a choir of that caliber at such a young age. I hope this weekend will fuel their desire to be choral singers and to strive for excellence in all of their endeavors. |

I can't believe we are beginning our 6th week of school, it has flown by! We are doing some great work everyday in class and I am hoping we will get really comfortable with the All-Region music in the next 2 weeks so we will be ready for try-outs. As a director, especially a new one, All-Region is so intimidating becuase it is a race against the clock. But, the NJHS choir students are doing an awesome job working hard during class (I hope they are doing the same at home with those CDs). I know we are going to have a big representation of Nettleton Junior High in All-Region, I can't wait to see their names on the results sheet! |
Two of our choir students were chosen to compete in the Craighead County Fair Youth Talent Show last night and they were AWESOME!! Maranda Saliba sang Ave Maria and her little brother, Landon, sang You Smile. They both did a wonderful job and I am so proud of both of them.
